Publication Ethics Statement

To maintain the quality of manuscripts and prevent publishing violations or plagiarism during the publication process, the Editorial Board has established a Publication Ethics Policy for the Bulletin of Management and Business (BMB).

This publication ethics policy applies to authors, editors, reviewers, and journal managers, and refers to the Regulation of the Head of LIPI (Indonesian Institute of Sciences) No. 5 of 2014 on the Code of Ethics for Scientific Publication, as well as international publication ethics standards such as those set by COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics).

Author Ethics

  1. Reporting
    Authors must present their research process and results honestly, clearly, and comprehensively, and retain their research data properly and securely.

  2. Originality and Plagiarism
    Authors must ensure that the submitted manuscript is original, written by the author(s) themselves, based on their own ideas, and does not plagiarize the works, ideas, or thoughts of others. Authors are strictly prohibited from misattributing cited references to different sources or individuals.

  3. Multiple or Redundant Submissions
    Authors must declare that the manuscript has not been submitted to or published in other journals or publications. If redundant submission is discovered, the manuscript will be rejected.

  4. Author Status and Contribution
    Authors must indicate their competence or qualifications relevant to the field of the manuscript. The corresponding author should be the first author to ensure responsibility in case of any issues during the publication process.

  5. Corrections of Manuscript Errors
    Authors must promptly inform the editorial office of any errors discovered in the manuscript, whether during review or after editing. Errors include incorrect author names, affiliations, citations, or any content that affects the meaning and substance of the manuscript. Authors must propose necessary corrections immediately.

  6. Disclosure of Conflicts of Interest
    Authors must understand and comply with publication ethics to avoid conflicts of interest with other parties, ensuring a smooth and ethical publication process.

Editor Ethics

  1. Publication Decisions
    Editors must ensure that the manuscript review process is thorough, transparent, objective, fair, and prudent, forming the basis for acceptance or rejection decisions. The Editorial Board serves as the manuscript selection committee.

  2. Publication Information
    Editors must ensure that author guidelines and relevant publication information are clearly accessible in both print and electronic versions.

  3. Assignment of Manuscripts for Peer Review
    Editors must assign manuscripts to appropriate reviewers and clearly communicate review guidelines and procedures to them.

  4. Objectivity and Neutrality
    Editors must act objectively, neutrally, and honestly in editing manuscripts, without discrimination based on gender, commercial interests, ethnicity, religion, race, social group, or nationality.

  5. Confidentiality
    Editors must safeguard all information, especially related to author privacy and manuscript distribution.

  6. Disclosure of Conflicts of Interest
    Editors must understand and comply with publication ethics to avoid conflicts of interest, ensuring a smooth and ethical publication process.

Reviewer Ethics

  1. Objectivity and Neutrality
    Reviewers must be honest, objective, unbiased, independent, and committed to scientific truth. Manuscript evaluation should be carried out professionally, without discrimination based on gender, commercial interests, ethnicity, religion, race, social group, or nationality.

  2. Clarity of References
    Reviewers must ensure that the references and citations used in the manuscript are appropriate and credible. If errors or discrepancies are found, reviewers must promptly inform the editorial team so that authors can revise accordingly.

  3. Effectiveness of Peer Review
    Reviewers should respond to review requests promptly and complete their evaluations within the maximum review period of two weeks. If additional time is required, reviewers must immediately notify the editorial office.

  1. Decision-Making
    Journal managers and the editorial board must articulate the mission and objectives of the journal clearly, particularly regarding editorial policies and publication decisions, free from personal or external interests.

  2. Independence
    Journal managers must provide freedom for reviewers and editors to work comfortably and must respect author privacy.

  3. Protection and Promotion
    Journal managers must protect intellectual property rights, ensure transparency in the management of third-party funds, and actively promote published works to the public to ensure their usefulness and impact.
